An Edinburgh parent was caught out by police not wearing a seatbelt as they drove around the city.
Officers had been out patrolling in Leith at the weekend when they pulled over the individual, who was also carrying a young child in the vehicle.
Working in a number of areas around the north of Edinburgh, police shared that their presence has increased in recent weeks to carry out driving checks.
Stopping motorists in similar areas last week, Special Constables had been stationed on both Pilrig Street and Great Junction Street for "high visibility patrols."

While stopping drivers, officers also found two individuals with no insurance, as well as another who was not wearing a seatbelt while at the wheel.
Two further motorists were stopped for document offences, and two vehicles were also seized at the scene after their drivers were found to have no license.
