Should you be looking to entertain the kids this Easter break then new research has revealed you should head to the capital.
Home to more child-friendly attractions than any other UK city except London, Edinburgh was also found to be one of the safest UK cities on the list.
The city was praised for its high number of child-friendly restaurants, as well as landmarks such as Edinburgh Castle and Dynamic Earth.
The study by Bounce analysed the number of popular vacation destinations around the world to reveal the best places for a family holiday using factors such as family attractions, family-friendly restaurants, the weather, affordability and safety.
Edinburgh was found to have a safety index of 69.96, while a double room in a hotel in the city costs on average £105 for the night.
It also beat out the likes of London, Liverpool and York, with the only other Scottish entry being Glasgow which finished in 7th place.
