Edinburgh mum uses 'cheeky' Asda tattoo to bag free drinks from Tinder dates

A former Asda employee from Edinburgh got the store's logo tattooed in an intimate place - and now utilises her love for the supermarket to bag Tinder dates.

Jodie Waddell, 32, used her tax refund to get a tattoo of the Asda logo on her behind, in a tribute to her former employee, as The Mirror reports. Now working at Greggs, her pals have tried talking her into getting a sausage roll or steak bake on the other cheek to match.

The local mum loves showing off her inked bottom, and says it has helped her catch the eye of potential Tinder suitors. The £90 tattoo has paid back in dividends according to the mum, as she said it has helped her nab free drinks in the past.

Jodie spoke of the tattoo's success on her Tinder, saying: "Every single message I get is about the tattoo." The mum also added that it should be a great ice-breaker when meeting new people as well.

Her former co-workers were also excited about the ink, but Jodie doubts it will turn into a discount card for the supermarket. However, she has been enjoying the high life as the revelation of the ink bagged her free drinks on a recent hen night out.

The tattoo is also out in full display on TikTok, on her page @jodiew1990. Jodie posted a video delving into the things she is asked on Tinder, where many potential matches ask if the ink is actually real.

TikTok users flocked to her comments to share their thoughts, as one wrote: "ASDA tattoo?? lol." Jodie came to the confused fan's rescue by posting a close-up photo of the ink - censorship is real - and replying: "Well... it's asda price!"

The single mum worked in an Asda in Leith, Edinburgh, and was mainly in charge of the store's pizza department. It was then that she developed a long-term love for the "Asda bum tap" advert.

After joining Greggs in 2022 as a counter assistant, Jodie's friends have desperately tried to convince her to get a pastry ink too. Jodie said: "Everyone keeps asking when I’m getting a steak bake or a sausage roll on the other cheek.

“I’m a single mum so I’m going to have to save up some money before I can do that.”
