Mowgli Street Food has issued an update to Edinburgh locals hungry to try its menu.
It was announced earlier this year that the Indian restaurant from barrister, food writer and chef Nisha Katona MBE was branching out to open in Edinburgh.
While Mowgli Street Food opened in Glasgow in April, a date for Edinburgh's launch was yet to be confirmed but it had been revealed it was going to be right in the city centre on Hanover Street.

With a menu inspired by the way Indians eat at home, Mowgli Street Food offers an exciting menu with a range of meals and vegan friendly dishes. Across all 14 of the restaurants, the eatery has a distinctive jungle theme and now has given a sneak peak into what it has in store for Edinburgh.
Sharing a picture on Instagram, Mowgli Street Food gave an insight to the inside space of the soon-to-be restaurant. While it is still lacking table and chairs, Nisha doodled over the image, showing where she plans on putting the all important palm trees.
Along with that, she added that Mowgli Street Food is expected to open next year in Edinburgh.
The caption added: "A day in the life - an eclectic day - Designing up the final tree positions in Mowgli Edinburgh for next years opening."
Edinburgh locals will be able to get a taste of the tried and trusted family favourites, served in Nisha's own kitchen and inspired by her mother's cooking.
Speaking about the Edinburgh location, Nisha Katona, Founder and CEO, said: “It is everything I want Mowgli to be, a very grand old space with wooden panels and decorated glass domes, into which our monkey will slink and grow organically - There are many old buildings like this in India from a bygone era into which life and trees and food markets sneak and grow respectfully, exotically.
"To honour this stunning building, we will bring trees and lanterns, branches and ropes with our chat bombs and cheese toast.”
"I want to create a place that feels like a home from home, that pleases like-minded people – my family dishes, a warm pet welcome and Tolkien trees.”
She adds: “It is therapy to me to watch my fantastically big-hearted guests behave as though they are hanging out in their own living room. We are not by any means everyone’s cup of tea, but we will be there for you if you need us.”
