An Edinburgh man has been filmed standing on stilts on the Royal Mile before the Queen's coffin travelled to St Giles' Cathedral on Monday.
The comedic video, uploaded to TikTok, shows the man propped up by two orange stilts while hanging onto a pillar half way up the Royal Mile, as tens of thousands flocked to the historic street just to catch a glimpse of history unfolding before their eyes.
Police warned that the area was 'at capacity' shortly before the procession left the Palace of Holyroodhouse, as officers refused some people entry due to overcrowding fears.

With locals and tourists flocking to the Royal Mile at 6am to secure a good viewpoint behind the metal barriers before the procession, this individual obviously arrived too late, but made sure he came prepared.
The video, uploaded by @lobissett, is captioned: "Shout out to this chap clinging to a wall for dear life on stilts to see the Queen go by."
The masterplan seemed to work as the man appeared about a metre taller than anyone else in the crowd.
King Charles III followed closely behind the Queen's coffin, along with his three siblings in an incredibly emotional goodbye from the Scottish capital.
The cortege has, in recent hours, left the city and departed for London in a huge RAF Globemaster aircraft, with Edinburgh now returning to normality and traffic congestion easing slowly in the coming days. Since Friday, hundreds of tourists from all corners of the world travelled to the city just to pay their respects to the 96-year-old Monarch.
