Edinburgh Travel News took to Twitter to say that the road is blocked between Peffermill Road and Old Dalkeith Road.
Lothian Buses have stated on their website that several of their services will be impacted such as the 12, 49, 33, 24 and 38 - diversions have been put in place so that the buses can continue to operate.
You can check the Lothian bus website here for any amended routes.
This is not the first time that an incident of this nature has caused travel chaos for capital motorists with Edinburgh Live reporting that a lorry had also become stuck under the same bridge back in September 2022.
At the time this was the third lorry that had become stuck under the bridge by a well-used roundabout in 2022.
The continuous collisions have led to Edinburgh City Council stating that safety measures would be put in place.
Scott Archibald who spotted the lorry this morning took to Twitter to alert traffic sites and said: “Another lorry stuck under the bridge at Cameron toll lt might have just happened but I'd imagine traffic will become a nightmare.”
Lorries becoming stuck have caused issues for vehicles trying to access the Royal Infirmary Edinburgh as well as the popular shopping centre in Cameron Toll.
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
