Edinburgh locals were treated to a special sighting of the Flying Scotsman on Saturday afternoon.
At around 6pm on July 1, residents in Portobello spotted the locomotive at the depot near the golf course and Portobello High School.
The famous train has made its way up to Scotland from York as part of its Centenary Weekender excursion. It journeyed through the borders, passing through East Lothian, stopping at Dunbar station for around 15 minutes before travelling up to Edinburgh Waverley.

Over the 100 years of its service, the world’s most famous steam locomotive has visited America and Australia and was the first engine to do 100 miles an hour authentically.
However, with its return to the capital fans have been asked to be as safe as possible when trying to catch a glimpse or get photos of the world-famous train.
This comes as this year's Edinburgh's Princes Street's famous floral clock design celebrated 100 years of the Flying Scotsman with a unique design made out of plants and florals.
The train is expected to stay in Scotland for three days in total as it is set to travel further north to Aberdeen.
