Edinburgh Katie Price masterclass saw star 'only make £960' after limited turnout

Katie Price is reported to have made just £960 from the first stop of her makeup masterclass in Edinburgh.

The well-known celebrity made an appearance in the capital on Thursday evening as she hosted the event at the Makeup by Lynn salon in Easter Drylaw.

Charging £80 per ticket, the star was due to share her top beauty tips and a guide on how to recreate her iconic looks alongside her own makeup artist Fern Howe-Shepherd.

However, despite her promotions, the Mirror reports that the 43-year-old made under £1,000 from the event after only 12 fans had showed up.

With a number of stops in the UK still to go, many fans are said to have complained about the “underwhelming” event – and some of the 19 UK dates have so far failed to sell out.

Earlier this week, Edinburgh Live reported that a small group of fans had been disappointed after they were 'snubbed' outside the salon after waiting to meet Katie.

Instead of greeting them on the street, salon staff are said to have covered her with a pink blanket to stop anyone who didn’t have a ticket taking pictures.

However, the Glasgow leg of the tour saw a better turnout, with around 20 people in the room

Katie was seen posing with fans in front of a pink neon sign which said ‘hello gorgeous’ and blowing kisses to the camera.

She also made an appearance at another salon in Fife while she was in Scotland.

In a sign the tour isn’t going as well as expected, Katie took to her Instagram stories to appeal for more salons to host one of her masterclasses later in the year.

She wrote: “If any salons/hotels want to host any of my makeup masterclasses this summer please DM me.”

Another photo showed rows of pink goody bags emblazoned with the words ‘Katie Price Merch’.

“If you want to be in my goodie bags for my masterclass please DM me,” she begged in another Instagram appeal.

Fans blasted Katie for how much she was charging for the tickets.

One tweeted: “Seriously, £80 to look like her? No thanks, I’ll pass.”

“More like, ‘how to filter your photos’ classes,” another commented.
