Edinburgh residents could be in for the trip of a lifetime after Jet2 announced 'bucket list' holidays from the capital to see the breath-taking Northern Lights in Iceland.
The exciting opportunity comes as part of the airline's winter programme for 2024/25, which will see more than 170 outbound flights to Iceland from the UK. Edinburgh, as well as Belfast, will be the departure sight for special trips.

Due to a rapid rise in demand for flights to the gorgeous northern country, these trips will give keen explorers the opportunity to soak in one of the most gorgeous sights in the world.
The airline is offering two dates to head on this adventure from Edinburgh, with one four-night stay leaving on February 5, 2025, as well as a three-night holiday departing on 9 February.
This will give holidaymakers plenty of time to plan ahead before jetting off on a once in a lifetime experience, with an excursion to see the Northern Lights included in the price.
Travellers will be assigned an expert guide, who will scope out the best place to take in the incredible natural wonder dependent on the weather.
Flying to the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik will also give Edinburgh passengers to the opportunity to relax in the world famous Blue Lagoon, go Geysir-spotting in national parks and try some outlandish food.
