A flight from Alicante to Edinburgh Airport had to divert to Manchester last night, due to a mid-air medical emergency.
Jet2 flight LS776 was spotted taking a different route to the one planned last night, as a flight tracker on Twitter noticed it being diverted towards Manchester.
The flight took off from Spain at around 7:46pm last night, February 6, and a user on Twitter noticed the flight taking a different course at around 9:30pm.

The flight landed safely in the English city and the team at Edinburgh Airport confirmed that is was diverted due to a medical emergency onboard.
The flight also took off around 40 minutes after the scheduled departure time in Alicante.
The aircraft in question was a Boeing 737-8MG.
Jet2 operate flights all across the world from Edinburgh. The travel operator say that their top destinations from the airport are Gran Canaria, Dubrovnik, Ibiza, Alicante, Antalya and Rhodes.
