Edinburgh Italian restaurant launches summer brunch event with lush cocktails

There are few better ways to kick off your Saturday lunch time in the capital than meeting up with some friends for a spot of brunch in the city centre.

This is especially true as we move into summer with warm weather on the horizon for Edinburgh residents.

Rico’s Ristorante on North Castle Street, is joining one of many eateries offering a brunch experience in the city but they have put their own unique spin on the event by launching their ‘La Bella Vita’ menu.

Rico’s promises to serve up a special Italian summer scran from June until August - with ‘the finest cuisine’, ‘fresh innovative cocktails’ and ‘live entertainment’ on offer to diners.

Starting on Saturday June 3 from 12pm, the stylish event will allow guests to choose everything from the specially developed 'Brunch' Menu which serves Smoked Ricotta Ravioli and Bruschetta, as well as beverages including Italian Prosecco and Summer Spritz cocktails.

Guests will be able to choose from a two course brunch menu that includes Italian sharing platters for the table - bruschetta; arancini; Sicilian olives and Italian cured meats selection.

The second course offers a choice of roasted Cumbrian chicken, fregola, hazelnut & wild garlic; North Sea cod, peperonata & courgette or smoked ricotta ravioli, broccoli, chilli and hazelnuts for mains.

Rico's Ristorante Owner Stefano Pieraccini said: "La Bella Vita is, with all intentions, gloriously lavish but with the leisurely easy-going feel suited for a Saturday way of dining.

“It is also a much-welcomed opportunity for us to showcase our food and drink offerings here at Rico's in the splendid surroundings of our unique and stylish North Castle Street restaurant".

Brunch tickets are available for £45 per person and include a summer spritz cocktail on arrival, sharing plates of cicchetti for the table, a main dish of your choice and a half bottle of prosecco per person.
