Edinburgh Harvey Nichols to host plush top floor summer cocktail pop-up experience

One of Edinburgh's newest and most popular cocktail bars will continue their success into the summer, announcing a new pop-up at the top floor of Harvey Nichols.

The Cocktail Mafia opened their brand-new venue at the end of last year on Charlotte Lane, offering customers a slightly different take on everyone's favourite boozy classics.

With spectacular-shaped glasses and an unforgettable atmosphere, The Cocktail Mafia will be adding to their portfolio when their new pop-up bar opens at the city's huge department store, taking over from Hendricks on the top floor.

Offering customers five floors of designer brands and a chic restaurant, Harvey Nichols has been present in the capital for over two decades, located on St Andrew Square.

Although the exact date of the takeover is yet to be confirmed, the team, that are also behind The Raging Bull, on Lothian Road, announced that they will be providing a menu of between ten and 12 cocktails, also planning to be open five days a week.

They also said that depending on popularity, they could stretch the number of days to more than five.

The team are also looking for new members to add to their ranks, advertising for both full and part-time positions for their new pop-up. The role will then be split between their main venue, and the one in Harvey Nichols.

Some of the cocktails that The Cocktail Mafia have served since their launch include the 'Citizen Cane', made from Glenfiddich and will served in a port sipper glass with a smoked bubble on top. The 'Millieu Vert' contains Roku Gin and is infused with Basil, presented in a vintage 1924 coupe, with a sugared basil rim.

The layout and décor of the bar is also a thing of beauty, created in conjunction with Edinburgh designer JaCoco, who's remit was to craft a decadent drinking den

The contemporary art, neon lights, plush fabrics and wallpaper also have a hand in helping to portray this theme and attempt to lose people in its excellence.

Cocktail lovers are certainly in for a treat this summer, with dates and the full drinks menu set to be announced in due course.
