Edinburgh residents are being treated to a new restaurant in Leith - branded the 'best Filipino takeaway in Scotland'.
The vibrant diner opens on Wednesday February 16 at 5pm, and will be open for takeaway and sit ins offering a wide variety of traditional food.

David Taylor and his wife Aida are opening the Filipino cuisine spot in Leith after their previous restaurant based in the Southside, Rice Terraces, closed around six years ago.
Speaking to Edinburgh Live, David said: "It's been in the works for around three months, my wife is Filipino so its her place. We actually had another restaurant that closed down around six years ago.
"But this is a different operation it's much smaller with a focus more on takeaway and delivery. There is inside seating though, with 12 covers so we are expecting sit in guests too.
"It's certainly exciting, we are the only Filipino restaurant in Edinburgh. There a couple of signature dishes including Adodo which is an immersion of food cooked in delicious spices and our signature desert a classic Filipino dish called Halo Halo which is amazing."

The business describe the cuisine as, "The product of both East and West, reflecting Malay and Chinese influence followed by 300 years of Spanish, then American rule."
Continuing: "The merging of different cultures brought forth many changes in the Philippines, influencing not only traditions and art but also culinary practices.
"Fusion technique in cooking existed in the Filipino kitchen long before Ferdinand Magellan discovered the Philippines in 1521.
"While “fusion” has been popularised by modern chefs and dubbed by some as “East Meets West,” the original concept was adopted by Filipinos as a result of migration and colonisation.
"Thus, the different dishes presented in this menu reflect the blending of cultures. Here you will find the best of Oriental and Western cuisine in dishes which have become distinctly Filipino."
