An exciting new vegan café and bakery has opened on the outskirts of Edinburgh city centre.
Green Bite, on Inverleith Row, opened just days ago and offers a variety of freshly baked and 100 per cent plant-based options such as pastries, cakes, salads and pies.
The café is also available for both sitting-in and takeaway options as the owners, who are both good friends, aim to bring something new to the local community.

Having started posting teaser images of their new venue at the start of the month, owners of the Green Bite have made it a speedy turnaround to open the café in the form of a soft launch on Thursday, October 27.
The shop is hard to miss with its bright green painted walls and white signage, as well as offering customers a comfy and cosy atmosphere inside with cushions and decorative plants.
Posting confirmation of their soft opening on Thursday, they wrote on Instagram: "WE ARE OPEN! It took us a while this morning but we are ready for you and we have some delicious lunch options available for you if you are hungry."
The café is located just off the busy Ferry Road on the fringes of the city centre. For more information and updates, you can follow their Instagram page here.
