We're pretty proud of our food market scene here in Edinburgh and now it's been given international recognition.
National Geographic have just published their guide to The Best UK Food Markets for Summer - and there's a capital inclusion on the list of seven.
Featuring foodie destinations up and down the country, from Leicester to London, Bristol to Newcastle, there was room for only one Scottish market in the article, published this week.

And its props to the team behind Stockbridge Market, with National Geographic choosing to shine a spotlight on the Edinburgh destination for its 'delicious wares' and dozens of other attractions, making a must visit spot for locals and those travelling to our city.
Here's what the National Geographic writers had to say about it:
"Every Sunday, dozens of independent traders set up shop in the city’s Jubilee Gardens, hawking all manner of delicious wares, from artisan cheeses to freshly baked bread and toothsome pastries.
"Satiate any hunger pangs with some hot food, be it a platter of piping hot paella from Lovely Paella or a hearty vegan seitan sandwich from FacePlant Foods."
Stockbridge Market, based on Edinburgh's Saunders Street, is open every Sunday all year round from 10am to 4pm and is described as 'a great day out for all the family'.
