A holiday flight from Spain to Edinburgh has been rushed into landing in the capital amid reports a passenger took ill on board.
The Jet2 service between the popular destination of Alicante and the capital sounded a mid-air emergency code while flying over Yorkshire on Thursday afternoon.
According to flight tracker information, flight LS776 was due to arrive in the city at around 14:45 but actually landed 15 minutes early in order for the passenger in question to receive urgent treatment.

Leeds Live reported pilots sounded the 7700 squawk code - used to denote an incident during the journey - as the plane passed over the Yorkshire dales at around 2pm.
The flight was safely brought into landing in Edinburgh at 2:45pm, with medics on standby to provide any necessary care.
Jet 2 confirmed the emergency but did not provide further details surrounding the incident in a statement.

Edinburgh Airport has been contacted for comment on the incident.
A Jet 2 spokesperson said: "A customer onboard the flight required medical assistance."
