Edinburgh fire crews have attended two separate blazes on Arthur Seat this evening.
Emergency services were called between 8-9pm this evening as concerned citizens reported seeing the fires.
Local residents took to social media to relay their shock at seeing the iconic hill ablaze.
Various people posted images of the gore fires on Twitter.
One said: "Two fires on Arthur’s Seat tonight, one on north side and now a new one on south side.

They posted again shortly after saying the fire crew were at the scene: "North side on has emergency attending. All out now. Fire brigade amazing!"
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed to Edinburgh Live that they had been called out to two separate Bonfire Night incidents on Arthur's Seat.
However, they said that shortly after 10pm the fires were out and no officers remained at the scene.
Edinburgh Live reported earlier this evening on officers coming under attack in the community as they attended fires.
