Edinburgh festive après-ski village to return with karaoke chalets and live music

An entire festive village is set to descend on Edinburgh once again this winter with everything from karaoke ski huts to live music and entertainment.

Arriving at the St James Quarter in 2021, the Bar Hutte 'Après-ski' village had proved popular, with the mountain-village decor and ski-themed drinks proving popular with locals.

Speaking this week, the organisers confirmed the village will be making a comeback to the same spot in November, with the village to stick around until January.

With each chalet hut featuring a karaoke machine for individual groups, the village also contains a general outdoor seating area that is heated and undercover.

Serving up seasonal drinks and oven-baked pizzas, this year the venue will also play host to a series of wreath-making classes for those who want to make their own.

Nick Peel, Managing Director at St James Quarter, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Bar Hütte back to St James Quarter as part of our Christmas offering. As we start to approach the colder months, we look forward to joining our customers in getting into the festive spirit and what better than mulled wine and karaoke to help us do that.

"These Alpine Après Ski’ inspired huts are the perfect way to create our very own winter wonderland here at The Quarter and we can’t wait for everyone to enjoy them.”

The venue will open on November 10 until January 2, you can find more information here.
