An Edinburgh Farmfoods have announced that they will be closing down soon when the lease expires.
During recent days, speculation has begun surrounding the store at the Newkirkgate Shopping Centre in Leith, with customers reportedly being informed of the closure by staff.
However, a spokesperson for the grocery chain confirmed to Edinburgh Live that the store is due to close before the end of October, when their lease expires.

They also said that staff currently situated in the store will be relocated to other locations within the city where possible.
They said: "I can confirm our shop at Newkirkgate, Leith will close before the end of October when our lease of the premises expires. Our team members will be offered the opportunity to relocate to other locations where possible.
"We are grateful to all of our customers who have shopped with us over the years and look forward to being able to welcome them to our other shops in the city, all of which are unaffected.
"Our nearest shop will be at 1B Seafield Road, Edinburgh, EH6 7LE which benefits from a large, free customer car park."
The Farmfoods on Seafield Road opened last year, occupying the spot of an old warehouse opposite Ninja Warrior UK, although locals in Leith have not been impressed by the closure of their nearest branch.
Newkirkgate also includes shops such as Lidl, Greggs, Card Factory and various pharmacy's, as well as a Semichem which is due to be replaced by Costa Coffee after plans were approved in May 2021.
