Edinburgh fans left disappointed by Katie Price snub at local salon

Katie Price snubbed Edinburgh fans last night, May 5, after making an appearance at a makeup salon to give two lucky winners a complete celebrity makeover.

The event was held at Makeup by Lynn, in the Easter Drylaw area, shortly before 6pm, where Katie appeared in her white Land Rover, with a small, but excited, crowd gathering to see a rare glimpse of the celebrity figure.

Despite over a decade in the media, Katie wasn't up for being snapped by excited fans, so two of the salon staff ran over to her with a pink blanket in an attempt to block out the media and surrounding locals.

After running up to the car with the blanket, Katie jumped out and headed into the salon, giving a quick 'hello' to a small group of teens standing outside.

Katie was in Edinburgh as part of her makeup 'masterclass' tour, also visiting Falkirk, Glasgow and Fife whilst on the road.

Two lucky guests at Makeup by Lynn were chosen to have a complete makeover from Katie herself, as well as people paying £80 to attend the event and watch on.

This was the third attempt at getting Katie to visit the salon in Easter Drylaw, with two previous postponements in pervious months.

Lynn Stewart, the owner of the salon, was present outside before Katie and her team rolled up and had previously spoke out about her excitement at hosting one of her role models inside her own salon.

Although many fans will have attended expecting at least a 'hello' or a picture with Katie, they got far less than that, as the crowd quickly dispersed when the show began at 6pm, with the second masterclass being at 8pm.

Celebrity makeup artist Fern Howe-Shepherd was also present at the event, who has an impressive CV in the industry, including working on ITV's Love Island.

Those who attended the event and bought a ticket also got to take home a £20 goody bag that contained makeup and beauty items from sponsors of Katie’s UK tour.
