Firefighters have rushed to the Pentland Hills following a huge gorse fire on Sunday afternoon (February 26).
Multiple appliances have been mobilised to tackle the fierce blaze that can be seen for miles. Around 4:30pm crews received reports of a fire near the Hillend ski slope.
Two appliances are currently at the scene as worried on-lookers took to social media after noticing orange flames coming from a large section of the regional park.

The blaze appears to have started to the west of the Midlothian Snowsports Centre which is currently undergoing a huge redevelopment.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We received the call around 4:30pm regarding an area of grass and gorse on fire at the Pentland Hills near Hillend.
"We have since increased our attendance to two appliances and crews remain at the scene."
The news comes just weeks after a large gorse fire broke out within Holyrood Park near Arthur's Seat during the night. Firefighters battled the blaze for more than ten hours before it was eventually extinguished.
