Edinburgh emergency services race to home after 'sudden death' of man

Emergency services were called out to an Edinburgh home this week after a man was found dead.

The body of the 67-year-old was found in a property in Corstorphine on Thursday, with a large police presence attending the scene on Lampacre Road.

Police had been called out at around 5.50pm, with witnesses reporting seeing around three ambulances and two police cars on the residential street.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances following the death of the 67-year-old, Police Scotland confirmed to the Daily Record.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.50pm on Thursday, 24 February, officers were called to the sudden death of a 67-year-old man on Lampacre Road, Edinburgh.

"There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances."
