Edinburgh EH1 music festival to return to Royal Highland Centre after three years

Edinburgh's EH1 festival will return this year for the first time in years.

The popular dance and electro event will take place at the Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston, on Saturday, September 24, with tickets now on sale.

The multi-arena event will be held for one day only, with past performers including Carl Cox, MK, Pan-Pot, Frankie Knuckles and many more.

This year, some of the headline acts bringing some of their finest tracks to the Royal Highland Show ground include Joel Corry, Lilly Palmer, Roger Sanchez, Basement Jaxx and Above & Beyond.

The Artists will play across six arenas which have been curated by industry heavyweights Cream, Glitterbox and Anjunabeats, local promoters Evolation and PRTY and a VIP arena.

Organiser Ricky Magowan said: "Since the inception of EH1 Festival in 2009 we’ve had just about every major artist in the industry on the bill.

"This year was have partnered with three of the biggest names in dance music and two Scottish promoters that are doing amazing things, each of the arenas has been carefully curated by our arena partners and our team so we have a lineup that features some of the most established names in the game as well as a host of exciting new talent."

In 2019, the popular festival returned to Edinburgh after a four-year break, but this year, local revellers are in for a treat.

Three years ago, Roger Sanchez and Above & Beyond had the pleasure of headlining the festival, so both acts already know what they are in for this time around.

The Anjunabeats arena returns to the festival after a mind blowing appearance in 2019, bringing together the creme de la creme of the Anjunabeats record label which is owned by headliners Above & Beyond.

They commented: "We love playing for a Scottish crowd. We’re thrilled to have been invited back to Edinburgh this Summer with some of the Anjuna family."

Nightlife act Glitterbox will be also be making their Edinburgh debut at EH1, with a special arena in their name.

Tickets for the event are live now via Skiddle, Tickets-Scotland, Resident Advisor or Ticketweb.
