Whether you have one dog or multiple, we can't blame you for wanting to sprint home from a long day out and just cuddle up on the sofa with them.

Many people in the city will be aware of the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home which has been part of the fabric of the city since 1883.
Working in partnership with local authorities and police services, the home has helped many lost, stray and abandoned pets from all corners of Edinburgh and the Lothians who want and deserve a loving home.
And with it now being Pet Appreciation Week, what better time than to start researching?
So what dogs are needing their forever home in Edinburgh?
Biscuit
Age: 3 years and eight months (approx)
Breed: Cross Collie/Staffie
This gorgeous girl is nervous and wary of strangers however despite this, Biscuit is said to have "super high energy" and loves her own space.
She is ball obsessed and "loves collecting toys from our paddock and bringing them back to her kennel" so she can continue to play with them there.
When she has settled into her new home and gained confidence, Biscuit may like to do an activity like Canicross or Flyball to keep her mind and body active.
Because of her nature, she would prefer a home with a private garden so she can play outside but she also enjoys visits to the local park as well as a freedom field so she can enjoy running off some of her energy.
Anyone looking to take her home will want to have experience of resource guarding, who preferably has had a nervous dog in the past. She needs an adult only home, with no visiting children under the age of 16 and must also be the only pet.
