Edinburgh dessert café opens third premises in city centre with 'cake terrace'

A new dessert café has opened in Edinburgh, with the team behind the venue celebrating a wave of recent success.

Eats, the group behind the drive-thru dessert cabin in Duddingston, has opened their third city centre venue, shortly after their second café was announced earlier this year.

The new venue opened on May 4, at the busy and vibrant Nicolson Square, and joins the existing two cafes at Duddingston and Tollcross.

The 50-seater café, which also includes outdoor seating, is part of the Central Hall Venues Group, and will also be hired out for special events and functions.

It will be open throughout the day and into the evening, offering daily specials and traditional Scottish comfort food, as well as their popular sugary treats.

The café will offer a variety of breakfast options, as well as a range of snacks and a wide range of desserts.

The venue will be open from Tuesdays to Saturdays, from 8am to 9pm and on Sundays, 9am to 9pm. Eats, after opening this recent store, are aiming for even more success and plan to increase their presence at more events venues and outlets in Edinburgh and Scotland.

Rory Fairgrieve, Co-Owner of Eats, said: "We are thrilled to be launching our catering service at Nicolson Square Edinburgh, offering unrivalled service and a high-quality product to both visitors to our café and event delegates alike. For us, it is vital that people leave feeling great about both our service and our food to create a memorable experience.

"As a young company with big expansion plans for Edinburgh and beyond, Nicolson Square Edinburgh is a key player in an exciting journey for us."

In terms of desserts, Eats offer a variety of traybakes, crepe's, cookie dough and waffles, plus much more.
