Edinburgh crash leaves 37-year-old man fighting for his life in hospital

A man has been left fighting for his life in hospital after being hit by a car on an Edinburgh road.

Emergency services, including Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service, swooped down on Millerhill Road, near the Sheriffhall Roundabout, in the capital at around 9am on August 4.

According to the Daily Record , a 37-year-old pedestrian was rushed to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where he is now being treated for life threatening injuries. The driver of the car was not injured in the incident.

The road was closed for hours while enquiries were carried out by the police, causing delays and tailbacks for motorists.

Road Policing officers are now appealing for anyone who saw what happened to get in touch. They are particularly interested to speak with anyone who has dashcam footage of the area at the time.

People who may be able to help with the ongoing investigation can call Police Scotland on 101 and quote reference 0775 of Thursday, August 4.
