Edinburgh commuters are facing long delays after a collision on the M8 in West Lothian has blocked part of the busy motorway.
The westbound lane between Junction 3 and 3A is currently restricted due to the crash, with queues starting to build all the way back to Livingston from just outside Bathgate.
The incident occurred around 5:25pm on Wednesday, September 14, as rush hour traffic began to build on the busy commuter route from Edinburgh to Glasgow.

It is currently unclear how many vehicles are involved in the incident, although police are reportedly en-route.
Alerting motorists in the area and who frequently use the route, Traffic Scotland said: "NEW: 17:25 M8 Junction 3A The Westbound carriageway is currently restricted due to a collision. Police and TRISS en-route take care on approach."
Images from live traffic cameras near Bathgate show huge queues piling up on both lanes of the westbound route as hundreds of motorists have been slowed down due to the incident.
Posting an update at 5:50pm, Traffic Scotland said that cars are able to pass the accident, although delays are currently around 25 minutes.
They said: "UPDATE: 17:48 M8 Junction 3A The Westbound carriageway is currently restricted due to a collision. Traffic is able to pass on the hard shoulder. Police and emergency services are in attendance. Traffic is heavy in the area.
"Current delays approx. 25 minutes."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.15pm on Wednesday, 14 September, 2022, officers were called to a report of a three vehicle crash on the M8, junction 3 westbound, near Bathgate.
“Three adults and a child were taken to hospital by ambulance.
“The road was partially closed to allow vehicle recovery to take place and fully reopened around 7.05pm.”
