Edinburgh Come Dine With Me contestant slammed for 'purposelessly' marking others down

Four Edinburgh residents are cooking up a storm on Channel 4's Come Dine With Me this week.

But viewers were quick to hit back at one contestant who they claimed were purposefully marking others down.

Law student Sharon has already come under fire for constantly complaining during Anthony's night, while she was criticised for not making her own pastry.

The capital's hopeful contestants this week, include: property manager and law student Sharon, management consultant Anthony, geography teacher Ashley, taxi driver Andrew and museum worker Carmen.

On Tuesday's episode, Gerald, a creative writer and charity director, took over from Andrew for an unexplained reason.

So far Sharon and Anthony had a turn of showing off their skills in the kitchen and it was Carmen's go on Wednesday's (June 8) programme.

Carmen's main competition is Anthony who came out with a score of 30 points, while Sharon received a low-balling 27 points.

She served a pork stir fry noodle for starter, pesto pasta for main, a chocolate spread sandwich for pudding - menu inspired by her childhood.

While her main was first met with scepticism, Carmen impressed her guests by making her own pasta and pesto.

When it came to the voting, however, Sharon - as predicted by viewers gave the host a low score.

Atina wrote: "I love how the first night sourpuss keeps marking people down, but is still last."

Another added: "Oh a surprise giving a six."

To which a viewer replied: "But still last!"

Along with the face-palm emoji, a third commented: "Purposely low scoring."

You can catch up on Come Dine With Me on All4 and watch the next episode on Thursday June 9 on Channel 4 at 5pm.
