Edinburgh city centre venue launching talent competition with industry judges and audience voting

A city centre venue has announced a new series of events, with a music competition that gets the audience involved.

Neu Musik will kick off at Brewhemia on May 1, running until the end of June. It is set to include short sets with industry judges, and the audience will get to cast their votes.

One act from each week will go through to the semi-final, before the top three will then compete in the final.

The winner will get a single deal with Post Electric Studios, as well as paid sessions at Brewhemia.

Ahead of the event, organisers said: “Join us weekly from the 1st of May as we find the best acoustic acts around!

“Our industry judging panel will join us to give their expert opinions, plus you will also be voting for your favourite act on the night. A perfect opportunity to see the best local and national new acoustic acts in our mighty Beer Palace.

“This is a free ticketed event, book now to avoid missing out.”
