A road traffic collision on a busy Edinburgh bypass has grounded traffic to a standstill.
The incident took place around 8:30am this morning, March 1, on the A720 Edinburgh City Bypass westbound after the Straiton junction.
Traffic Scotland confirmed the incident on Twitter, saying that one lane is currently closed on the busy road, with huge delays expected.

Cars can be seen queuing with huge tailbacks as traffic hit a complete standstill at the time of the collision.
Traffic Scotland tweeted: "08:45 A720 RTC. Lane two of two is closed on the Edinburgh City Bypass westbound after the Straiton Junction."
They also issued an update as of 9:25am, with cars queued all the way back to Sheriffhall and delays of around 30 minutes expected.
It is unknown whether emergency services are on the scene at this time, but drivers can expect sizeable delays for the time being.
