A young child had to be rushed to hospital last week from an Edinburgh nursery after they began choking on an object.
The Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) confirmed that two ambulances were dispatched to Cranley Nursery on Braid Road after a report of a five-year-old having an object lodged in their throat.
The incident took place on Friday July 22 at around 12.13pm and the child was taken to Edinburgh Sick Kids.

A source, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: “A five-year-old child was choking and was taken away in an ambulance with the obstruction still in the child's throat.”
A spokesperson for the SAS said: “We received a call at 12:13pm to attend to an incident at an address in Braid Road, Edinburgh on 21 July.
“Two divisional resources were dispatched and the patient was transported to Edinburgh Sick Kids.”
A spokesman for Cranley Buckstone nursery said: “We can confirm there was a choking incident involving a preschool child at Cranley Buckstone nursery on the afternoon of Thursday April 21.
“Staff acted quickly and emergency services were called.
“The child was taken to hospital and returned to our nursery the following day.
“The staff in charge of the children when this happened were trained in First Aid and acted calmly and professionally.
“The nursery was fully staffed in accordance with Care Inspectorate ratios.”
