As the leaves begin to turn and fall from the trees, and pumpkin spice lattes return to cafés across the capital, there is a feeling that Autumn is setting in and Halloween is just around the corner.
There are dozens of events and special offers being put in place for locals and visitors to Edinburgh for the annual celebration and one Portobello eatery is not being seen to be missing out.
Peri’s Kitchen in Portobello, who are famous for their charcuterie boards, have put a creepy spin on their traditional cheese and meat treats. In an image shared on their Facebook, the restaurant showed a spooktacular design that will be on offer to potential customers.

Specialising in catering for events at weekends away or home events, Peri’s have created the perfect addition for any Halloween party, with a ‘deadly charcuterie board.’ In the picture, a large skull can be seen covered in Serrano ham.
Alongside it on the board is a selection of cheeses, chorizo, salami and fresh fruit. In a statement on their social media, they said: “A deadly charcuterie board - Not for the weak!
“Large skull covered in Serrano ham, surrounded by deadly indulgent cheeses, chorizo, salami sticks and fresh fruit. Halloween is coming!”
The creative assemblers do not only offer Halloween designs at this time of year and anyone wishing to have a traditional charcuterie board can explore previous spreads that they have put on through their page.
