Images have shown the extent of a blaze in Edinburgh after fire crews worked late into the night to extinguish the flames.
A section of Longstone Road in Edinburgh was closed as neighbours watched on in horror as the flames ripped through the roof of the property.
Video taken from the scene showed a number of fire crews at the vacant property, with smoke billowing out over the residential developments across the road.
Fire crews were first alerted to the incident shortly before 9pm on Sunday evening, with three engines and a height appliance seen firing water onto the flames at around midnight.
Drivers passing past Longstone Road were redirected away from the blaze, with many passers by watching on as the fire appeared to focus on the roof of the building.
Hero firefighters could also be seen working right over the flames, with a height appliance used to allow crews to pour water in from above.
Starting in the former site of the Jafflong takeaway, the fire did not appear to have spread to the neighbouring buildings.
The cause of the blaze is currently unknown.
Speaking on Sunday, a SFRS spokesperson said: "We responded to reports of a fire on Longstone Road, Edinburgh at 8.56pm on Sunday, February 13."Three vehicles and a height appliance were deployed and crews currently remain at the scene."
