A student who wrote his dissertation on Bruce Springsteen was awestruck when the singer took it off him and read it out during his recent performance in Edinburgh.
Nathan Collet, 22, made his way to the front of the crowd on Tuesday night when the 73-year-old was performing in front of a packed-out Murrayfield. Nathan managed to lock eyes with Bruce holding a sign that drew his attention to the student.
Nathan was holding a sign which said: 'Can I give you a copy of my thesis', reports the Record.

The made-up fan travelled nearly 200 miles from his home near Liverpool with his completed dissertation in hand and gave the star a copy of his research paper titled: "Brilliant Disguises: An Analysis of Masculinity Through the Works and Life of Bruce Springsteen".
Speaking the day after the gig Nathan said: "I've been a fan of Springsteen since I was ten. When he announced the tour I decided I was going to try and give him a copy of my dissertation myself.
"For a whole year I've had people saying to me 'you'll never be able to get it to him, you'll never get close enough'. During his set he read my sign and pulled an impressed smile.
"Later he was going past again and I held up my dissertation and he took it. He had a look at it on stage and said it was very nice before putting it down near the drum kit."
Nathan had taken his dad along to the gig and said the pair celebrated the 'surreal' moment like it was a 90th minute winner.
He added: "We were jumping all over each other and cheering. We celebrated like it was a 90th minute winner.
"I was on cloud nine for the rest of the show and the concert was phenomenal. Nobody puts on a show like Springsteen."
More than 50,000 descended on the stadium in the west of the capital, completing a trio of huge names performing in recent weeks alongside Beyonce and Harry Styles.
Alongside the E Street Band, Springsteen performed 29 songs from all decades of his career, including classics such as 'Glory Days,' 'Born in the USA' and 'Dancing in the Dark'.
