A young motorcyclist has captured the scary moment he was confronted by an oncoming car being driven on the wrong side of the road.
Thomas Miller, 23, was riding his bike along Ferry Road in the city when a white Mercedes heading on the opposite direction overtook a line of traffic on the busy street.
The Edinburgh driver was caught on camera narrowly missing the motorcyclist as he overtakes several vehicles.
Thomas said the near miss saw the white car come around a metre away him as he beeped his horn loudly.
He said the footage was filmed on a wide lens GoPro making it seem like there is more space than there actually was.

The heart-stopping video shows the newly qualified motorbike rider travelling through a junction and continuing along the busy road before the white sports car comes into sight as it approaches the traffic lights.
With little time to spare, the impatient driver veers across the road to overtake three cars.
Beware there is some swearing towards the end of the video clip.

Speaking to Edinburgh Live Thomas said: "I am a new motorbike rider and basically what happened was I was just waiting at the lights and when the lights turned green I decided to start driving.
"While I was going through the junction a white car decided to race down the wrong side of the road coming towards me and was maybe a couple meters away from me.
"In the GoPros eyes it set to super wide but in person the driver was really close."
