The manager of a popular Edinburgh bar has apologised after a customer hit back at a waitress.
Taking to Tripadvisor, the anonymous guest said they were left feeling 'uncomfortable' after visiting Candy Bar on George Street for the quiz night. Understandably, the bar is expected to be busy and the customer insisted they had booked a table.
However once they were sat down, they said a server came over to ask them twice if they had reserved the table. The disgruntled guest added that her 'rude' manner' made them feel uncomfortable while the bar owner quickly offered their apologies and recognised that they had 'let the customer down'.

The customer wrote: "Cocktails were average and relatively cheap. However, one staff member was shockingly rude. We booked a table, arrived on time and were shown to our table by a member of staff.
"We were sitting and participating in the quiz for 30 minutes before another staff member came over and asked us if we had a booking or if we had just walked in and sat down?? She stated they were fully booked and we’d have to leave?? Again, we had a booking.
"She then came back and rudely asked ‘who did you speak to when you came in' as if we’d just walked in without a booking. We informed her who we spoke with and she stormed off without apologising about all of this. This made us uncomfortable so we left after our drink."
Offering an email address to discuss the situation further, Candy Bar replied: "I deeply apologise for the service you received on your recent visit. We hold ourselves highly in providing exceptional customer service, however we appear to have let you down on this occasion."
Candy Bar is currently rated three and a half stars on Tripadvisor with many praising it for offering a good night out and promises of returning.
One guest said: "Me and a group of friends popped in for the first time staff. The staff were amazing with the service and made sure we were okay and if we needed anything else. Made me and my group of friends very welcome! Would definitely recommend and we will be back!"
Another added: "Myself and a group of the girls went for some lunch and drinks, the staff were lovely, very polite and attentive to make sure our food was ok and that we had drinks. Cocktails are amazing and good value for money. Food was also really nice, especially the sticky toffee pudding. Will definitely come back."
"A really good high end bar to meet with friends and socialise. Amazing, fun, friendly and helpful staff who know their job well. Good list of drinks & cocktails! Highly recommend," a third said.
