Controversial Edinburgh author JK Rowling popped in on a Scottish book group after finding out they shared her views on gender.
The Harry Potter author has split opinion after comments she made in early June 2020 about the transgender community.
Her stance has caused fans and stars like Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and Eddie Redmayne to speak out against her.

But the writer, 56, was hailed as "brilliant, brave, and hilarious" by the book group after sharing Tunnock's Teacakes with her at the group.
She promised to attend JKR's Barmy Book Army after the woman behind it, book club organiser Woman for Women, revealed she'd walked out on her own reading club.
The reader decided to set up her own club after butting heads with other members who had attacked JK Rowling during their meetings, reports the Record.
It came after the author was targeted by trolls with countless death threats for airing her controversial opinions on gender issues on social media.
And this week, JK has made good on her promise, which we revealed earlier this year.
"This weekend the brilliant, brave, and hilarious @jk_rowling hit up Barmy Book Club HQ.
"We laughed until we cried and smiled until our faces hurt. We ate Tunnock’s teacakes. We drank a lot of tea. And we talked about EVERYTHING.
"All you women, fighting your private and public fights, and all of you who are suffering as a result of this ideology, rest assured: this woman is with you. She’s listening and watching and thinking deeply. And she has a cracking signature.
"Thank you for everything, Jo. We love you. We’re glad you exist."
SNP MP for Edinburgh South West Joanna Cherry QC said she was overjoyed at the news.
She Tweeted: "Delighted for my friends at @JKRsBarmyBooks that their book club had such a distinguished visitor & delighted that they were reading & discussing my number one favourite novel The Sea, The Sea by @IrisMurdoch."
