Edinburgh Airport jobs update including positions with salaries starting at £43k

Edinburgh Airport has revealed it is looking to fill a number of positions, including a Sustainability Manager with a starting salary of over £43,000.

With the busy summer season continuing, the airport took to its social media accounts to announce that it is recruiting new staff in a range of roles.

Aside from the Sustainability Manager job, it is also looking for an Early Bag Store Operative, a Head of Environment, Health & Safety and Quality, and an Accounts Payable Supervisor — each with their own unique job specifications.

Posting on its Facebook account, Edinburgh Airport wrote: "Do you want to help deliver our Greater Good sustainability strategy We're hiring a Sustainability Manager who'll be focused on helping us create a more sustainable airport campus, while engaging with local communities."

Sustainability Manager (Engagement)

Salary: £43,312

When the job closes: 29 August

What they say: "Following the launch of the airport’s Greater Good sustainability in June 2021, as a business we recognise the need for additional resource to focus on sustainable partnerships and engagement to deliver the commitments as set out in the Trusted Neighbour pillar. We need to increase our engagement with local community members, businesses and groups through a consistent approach to deliver visible action, tangible improvements and enhanced relationships."

Early Bag Store Operative

Salary: £10.40 per hour

When the job closes: 31 August

What they say: "If you enjoy working in a team where everyone pulls together, this is the role for you. Our EBS team support the work of the whole baggage hall getting passengers and their bags away on their journeys. This is a critical part of what makes our airport tick and you will have the opportunity to develop your career with us."

Head of Environment, Health & Safety and Quality

Salary: "Competitive, based on experience"

When the job closes: 30 September

What they say: "The Head of Environment, Health & Safety and Quality (EHSQ) will be responsible for developing and delivering the EHSQ strategy and working with the senior management team to ensure alignment with the wider business strategy and objectives. The Head of EHSQ will be performance driven and able to communicate clear and concise goals, yet also maintain a collaborative, team oriented approach. Driven and self-directed, the successful candidate will energise internal teams and third parties to deliver positive change moving from a compliance based to a cultural driven EHSQ environment."

Accounts Payable Supervisor (15 months fixed term contract)

Salary: "Competitive, based on experience"

When the job closes: 31 August

What they say: "A key member of the transaction team within the wider Finance team at Edinburgh Airport Limited (EAL), the Accounts Payable Supervisor will work closely with the EAL’s Procurement Department, Finance Manager and IT Department as well as having exposure to a wide variety of payables approvers and requisitioners. The role is focused operation of the Accounts Payable function, ensuring the accurate recording of invoices, dealing with supplier queries, managing relations with the wider business and ensuring invoices are paid on time. The role will also play a key part in ensuring the Accounts Payable processes are efficient and automation is embraced as a solution where possible."
