Edinburgh Airport issues important bus update to travellers

Edinburgh Airport has issued an update to passengers amid a busy holiday season.

The airport has revealed that, following two months of improvements, its forecourt has reopened.

As a result, bus stances have moved back to their previous location outside the terminal.

The inner forecourt on Jubilee Road was shut from January 31 to April 8 with no buses allowed in the area.

While the work was taking place, buses were relocated from their usual spot outside the airport terminal building.

Posting on its Facebook account, Edinburgh Airport wrote: "Our forecourt has re-opened after replacement and improvement works ended, which means bus stances have moved back to outside the terminal.

"Thank you for your patience while we improved the area."

The airport offered further information on their website, stating: "Following a two-month programme of works to improve the inner forecourt most buses returned to their usual locations on Friday, April 8.

"However there are changes to where you can find the Lothian Bus stances."

Edinburgh Airport also shared a picture of these changes, adding: "As per the image of the plaza area below, service 100 can be found in section A - the area beyond the covered walkway.

"Service 200 can be found in the area marked B (this is formerly bus stance A), and services 300 and 400 will be in the area marked C (this is formerly bus stance B)."
