Edinburgh Airport has hit back at claims made by passengers over 'travel chaos'.
Pictures, seen by Edinburgh Live, appear to show travellers trapped in long queues, with one local saying they felt people were being 'herded by cattle'.
But the airport hit back at the comments, saying it is the 'nature of an airport' to have busy periods.

One picture, sent to Edinburgh Live, shows people waiting in a long queue while they wait to drop off their luggage.
The queues seem to crowd the entire check-in hall at the airport.
The irate passenger said: “There's utter chaos at the airport, people are being herded like cattle".
But a spokesman for Edinburgh Airport said: "As we have explained numerous times, queues are likely in airports given the nature of them and even more likely in busy periods like summer. Staff, as always, worked hard to get passengers through as quickly as possible.
"Passengers should always ensure they arrive in good time and are prepared for their trip by having the correct documentation and being ready for security."
