Eddie Van Halen’s son has shared a touching tribute to the revered rock guitarist one month after his death.
Wolfgang said it has been “really hard” following his father’s death and that “not a second goes by” when he is not on his mind.
Van Halen died last month at the age of 65 following a battle with cancer. His death was met with an outpouring of grief from the music industry and beyond.
Wolfgang shared a black-and-white selfie of the pair on Instagram on Saturday. Alongside the picture he wrote: “1 month. Not a second goes by where you’re not on my mind.
“I miss talking with you. I miss laughing with you. I miss listening to music with you. I miss making music with you. I just miss everything.”
Wolfgang, Van Halen’s bassist, added: “I love you so much, Pop. It’s really hard being here without you.”
In a statement posted on Twitter, Wolfgang broke the news of his father’s death. He said he died following a “long and arduous” battle with cancer.

Wolfgang added: “He was the best father I could ever ask for. Every moment I’ve shared with him on and off stage was a gift.
“My heart is broken and I don’t think I’ll ever fully recover from this loss.”
Van Halen formed his eponymous band in California in 1972, alongside David Lee Roth on vocals, his brother Alex on drums, and Michael Anthony on bass.
The group is among the top 20 best-selling artists of all time, with more than 80 million records sold worldwide.
In 2015, Rolling Stone ranked Van Halen eighth on their list of the 100 greatest guitar players of all time.
Alongside his successes over the years, Van Halen struggled with alcoholism and suffered a number of health issues.
The guitarist first received treatment for tongue cancer in 2000 and the subsequent surgery removed about a third of his tongue.
He was declared cancer-free in 2002. It was reported last year that he had been privately battling throat cancer for five years.
