Eddie Jones has added the Scarlets' head of physical performance Nigel Ashley-Jones to his Australia coaching staff in an announcement made overnight.
Ashley-Jones will now help the Wallabies in their preparations for the Rugby World Cup, which kicks off in the autumn.
“We believe we have a quality coaching staff to plan and prepare the team for a smash-and-grab campaign, winning the Bledisloe Cup and finishing winning the Rugby World Cup,” Jones said.

“It is experienced, diverse and adaptable. Ready to smash and grab.”
Ashley-Jones arrived at the west Wales region in 2021 from NRL side Canberra Raiders. He joins his home nation in the position of strength and conditioning coach.
Scarlets head coach Dwayne Peel said: “Nige has made a big impact on everyone in the two years he has been at the club. He has an exciting opportunity to be part of an international coaching set-up with his home country in a World Cup year. Everyone at the Scarlets wishes him well.”
The Scarlets added they would be making an announcement on their own coaching team in the coming weeks.
Jones has also brought on board former Casters boss Pierre-Henry Broncan and London Irish’s Brad Davis to complete his coaching ticket for the tournament in France.
