Eddie Howe has warned Leeds United his Newcastle side will come back firing after drawing a blank in their 2-0 defeat to Arsenal at the weekend. The Magpies were frustrated by Mikel Arteta's side, who condemned the Toon to just their second defeat on home soil this season.
The defeat to the Gunners means Newcastle have just a three point gap to Liverpool in fifth, but have played a game less than Jurgen Klopp's men. The race for the Champions League spots looks set to head to the wire and the Magpies will arrive at Elland Road next weekend looking to ease and fears of dropping out of the top-four.
Leeds themselves know a win against Newcastle would be a huge result in the fight against the drop, but the worst defence in the Premier League will need to pull out all the stops.

Speaking after the defeat to Arsenal, Howe told NUFC TV: "It was one of those days where it just didn't fall for us. There was loads of balls across the box that we just didn't get on the end of.
"So, hugely frustrating because we've been free scoring in recent weeks, suddenly you play today and it feels like the goal just wouldn't come.
"That's football for you and that's why we love it so much because you can never predict what's going to happen. We have to deal with the result, digest it and come back firing against Leeds."
