Pep Guardiola has been crowned Premier League manager of the year after being announced as English football's top boss tonight.
Guardiola pipped Eddie Howe to the award with Manchester City chasing a treble after winning the Premier League and now eyeing the FA Cup and Champions League. After winning this year's gong Guardiola warned that City will be back next year to defend their title
Guardiola said: "I’m delighted, it’s an incredible honour. I promise you next season we will be there to fight again to dignify this league as much as possible."

Guardiola beat Mikel Arteta, Roberto De Zerbi, Unai Emery, Pep Guardiola, Howe and Marco Silva to the prestigious award.
One fan tweeted on the Premier League feed: "Eddie Howe completely robbed!" while another, said: "Eddie Howe got Robbed...From Taking A Relegation Threatened Team To A Champions League Qualifying Team."
The 52-year-old won after votes by the public were combined with those of a panel of football experts to decide who would top a six-man list.
