Eddie Howe nominated for April's Premier League manager of the month & details on how to vote

Eddie Howe has been nominated for Premier League manager of the month for April.

Howe has won the award twice for the Magpies since being appointed after scooping the prize in February and October in 2022. Despite losing to Aston Villa 3-0, Newcastle's sparkling form, which includes the 6-1 win over Spurs and 4-1 thumping of Everton, sees him make the list.

Howe joins Villa boss Unai Emery, Bournemouth's Gary O'Neil, Manchester City's Pep Guardiola and Crystal Palace's Roy Hodgson on the list. And fans can vote here to pick their winning candidate.

A Premier League statement read: "Six wins from seven have put Newcastle on the verge of UEFA Champions League qualification. Howe’s side scored a Premier League high 22 goals in the month, including a memorable."

Both Callum Wilson and Alexander Isak have also been nominated for Premier League player of the month. The duo are in the hat with Kevin De Bruyne, Diogo Jota, Erling Haaland, Ollie Watkins, Dominic Solanke and Eberechi Eze.

Wilson netted eight goals in April, more than any Newcastle player in a single calendar month since Alan Shearer in 1999. Isak has also chipped in with some fine strikes and has turned provider in recent weeks with some sublime assists.

Wilson said of Isak this week: The competition has helped. It helps you grow as a person, if you're not growing, you're going backwards in anything in life. I think everybody needs a little push every now and again, just to reset your mind, reset your focus, and see how much you really want it is probably the truth."

Fans can vote for the player of the month here.
