Eddie Howe has already made his feelings clear when it comes to Allan Saint-Maximin's future at Newcastle United. The Frenchman is one of the Magpies' few sellable assets this summer, prompting speculation over whether he will remain at the club.
Speculation over Saint-Maximin's future has ramped up this week after the winger released an emotional and lengthy statement on his Instagram. The Newcastle star admitted he had reached a 'turning point' in his career and thanked fans for their ongoing support.
AC Milan held an interest in Saint-Maximin back in January and could return over the summer, while Tottenham have also been linked with the 26-year-old before the arrival of new boss Ange Postecoglou.

Howe was quizzed over Saint-Maximin's future last month and admitted he was an 'important' asset on Tyneside. “That (his future) will be dictated by Maxi himself," said the Newcastle boss.
"He has so much ability, and he’s such an important player for us when he’s at his very best, fitness-wise. He’s unique, there’s no one like him in the Premier League.
“You saw he’s a huge transitional threat (in the 1-1 draw against Chelsea), his end product was there, so really pleased. We just hope he comes back really fit, and ready to do well in what is a massive season for him personally.”
Saint-Maximin struggled for consistency as Newcastle reached the Champions League last term. The ex-Nice man remains a key player when fully fit but has a decision to make this summer after falling down the pecking order at St James' Park.
Howe has already shown in recent windows he is not prepared to stand in a player's way if they desire a move elsewhere, as proven with Jonjo Shelvey and Chris Wood in January.
