Former Blackburn Rovers captain Tim Sherwood claims Newcastle boss Eddie Howe will find himself "under pressure" if he doesn't translate draws into wins at St James' Park. Newcastle have lost just one of their opening seven matches in the Premier League (W1 D5) but are winless since their 2-0 triumph over newly-promoted Nottingham Forest on the opening day.
The Magpies have registered more draws (five) than any other club in the Premier League and have scored just once from open play in their last three matches.
Although Sherwood is confident that Howe is the "right man" to lead Newcastle out of their early season wobble, the Premier League winner insists that results must improve quickly before the pressure begins to mount on Howe.

"The performances have been okay," Sherwood said on Premier League Productions. "But it boils down to getting points on the board and getting breathing space for a manager who, if he continues, will be under pressure.
“I think he’s a good manager. He did brilliantly last season. But you know the expectations up in Newcastle now. The fans will tell you and the board expect a lot more.
“It’s a disjointed season [with the World Cup in the middle], but they need to start winning football matches as soon as possible.
“The perception is that they are doing a lot better than they actually are. Results don’t look like that. They have a lot of hard work to do, but I am sure Eddie is the right man to get them on track.”
