Eddie Howe has told his Newcastle United players they are more than capable of going to Tottenham Hotspur and beating Antonio Conte's men.
The Magpies were beaten 5-1 in the corresponding fixture last season in what proved to be a bad day at the office for Newcastle. But they will arrive in the capital on a high after climbing into sixth place in the opening exchanges of the season.
Speaking about the clash against Spurs, Howe said: "We’re obviously looking to win, but they’re very difficult games. All Premier League games are very difficult, tonight was an incredibly difficult game, so there are no easy ones.

"But if we play at our best, I feel we can beat anybody. I think if you go to Tottenham you know you have to get a lot of the little things right, but we go there with confidence and we’ll give it a right go and hopefully show the best version of ourselves."
Newcastle have lost just once this season with that defeat coming at Liverpool back in August. Howe though feels United's lofty position is down to their performances at home.
He said: "Your home form is absolutely crucial to success and you want to win as many games as possible at home.
"Home form is the bedrock of your season really. How have we done it? I don’t know that there’s one thing we’ve done.
"I just think we’ve tried to get the players playing in a really good atmosphere, and the supporters have given us that. I have to compliment them hugely on their support for us, in good moments and bad moments.
"I think back to the early games in my reign here and they really did stick with us and give us good receptions after different performances.
"That’s given the players the confidence to attack the games like we have recently. The challenge is to keep giving the supporters what they want to see."
