Eddie Howe says Anthony Gordon is still touch and go for Sunday's battle against Manchester United.
The Scouser star has missed Newcastle's last two matches due to an ankle injury and used the sunshine break in Dubai for rehab purposes. Gordon is set to train today but Howe was not sure if he would involved against the Red Devils.
Howe, speaking at his Press conference today, said: "The break came at a good time for Anthony Gordon to improve on his injury and try to get him closer to returning. I think he used the time wisely."

When asked if he would play against Man United, Howe said: "I don't know the answer to that currently. He took part in a very small part in training on Wednesday. So we will see how he responds to that today."
Howe also declared Nick Pope, Callum Wilson and Allan Saint-Maximin fit with all three reporting with injuries or illness in the aftermath of the 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest.
Howe said: "It was good for some players who had injuries. Fabian Schar would be a prime example of somebody who has played through pain. I think the break came at a good time for him."
