Newcastle United will be without Sweden international Alexander Isak for the clash at Old Trafford on Sunday. But otherwise Eddie Howe is close to a clean bill of health for the encounter against Manchester United.
When asked about Isak today at his Press conference, Howe said: "Alexander Isak is making progress but he's not available for this game. We've not picked up any new injuries."
Howe also stated that Jonjo Shelvey was "very close" to a return after a calf injury. The midfielder is back in training after getting hurt in pre-season away to Benfica.

Looking ahead to the Man United game Howe said: "We're going to try and attack it and get a positive result. They have outstanding individuals and a great manager.
"They're developing their style of play and philosophy. We have to go in with no fear and believe we can win. The performance levels have been very high."
